Meeting this Saturday May 20

Hi everyone,

Our next meeting is this Saturday.  We will be at the Oshtemo branch of the Kalamazoo library.

Carolyn will be doing a presentation on how to design and print fabric using Spoonflower.

The library opens at 10am and we will start the meeting at 10:30 am. Feel free to come early and stay after for social time.  We have the room until 2pm.

April/May online activity

This month is an opportunity to get scrappy and use up some of your modern fabric stash!

Let's use this tutorial, from Amanda Jean Nyberg at Crazy Mom Quilts, to make scrappy pineapple blocks without paper piecing.

Like Amanda, Let's use bright modern fabric for the center and "cross",  and white or low-volume prints for the "x" and corners. 

Finished size is 16" square. 

I'll post mine as soon as I do it :-)
