The first meeting of 2019 did not disappoint those who ventured out in the blustery weather. We were excited to try something new -- a virtual trunk show with Victoria Findlay Wolfe! She was inspirational, hilarious, informative, and motivational!
Before VFW's presentation, we had some amazing Show and Tell. Thanks to Jackie for assembling the Converging Corners blocks for our charity quilt to be used in a presentation by Lynne at the Kalamazoo Log Cabin Quilt Guild's meeting in April. We will post more pictures of the completed quilt soon!
Victoria Findlay Wolfe! The virtual trunk show was amazing!
We went over the guild business after the presentation. We have more exciting meetings and speakers on the books for the year and some great ideas for 2020. Look for a blog post coming soon about the upcoming retreat April 3-7 at Camp Lutherwald -- you should come, and bring a friend (all crafters welcome!). Everyone who renewed their membership by the February meeting was entered in a prize drawing -- Kate White was the lucky winner! She won a basket full of quilty fun! Diane Oakes was the lucky winner of the "armchair kit" from Pam (see pics above for completed projects created by Pam and Stephanie). Christine Andrews won some thread conditioner!
Please check the blog for updates and to look at the schedule for our upcoming meetings. The next social meeting will be at member Shannon's home on March 16th. Details will be sent in an email!
Spring is coming!
